My Henry Ancestors

A 5x Great Grandmother was Hannah Henry who married Andrew Godden (1745-1812) in 1770 in Pulborough, Sussex. She died in 1778 leaving her husband with 2 young children aged about 4 and 6 years.

Hannah was born in Sutton, Sussex and was the daughter of Joseph Henry (1715-1785) and Mary Heath (1721-1796).

Joseph was born in Petworth in 1715 and was the son William Heath and Ann Edwards who married Fittleworth in 1695, although they raised their family in Petworth. William died aged 72 years in 1727, therefore, he was born about 1655. Ann was probably baptised in 1673 in West Chiltington, Sussex.
