William Heath

Elizabeth Piper
and were my 7x Great Grandparents.

They married on 1 November 1720 in Sutton, Sussex, at which time he was a
widower and she was Elizabeth Head, widow. Elizabeth
had first married Richard Head of Slindon on 26 May 1702 in Sutton.
William may have first married Mary sometime before or
about 1693.
William Heath's
date and place of birth/baptism are unknown, to me. Might he have been
baptised on 4 August 1678 in Midhurst, and have been the son of Thomas
Heath (?-1698) and Elizabeth (?-1729)? Or was he baptised
on 10 February 1664/5 in Bury, the son of Richard Heath?
He was buried on 25
December 1722 in Sutton.
Elizabeth
Piper was baptised on 30 September 1683 in Sutton. She was the
daughter of
Thomas
Piper (c1650-1701) and
Joan Carver
(c1660-1738). Elizabeth Heath, widow, was buried on 4
June 1752 in Sutton.
Richard Head was baptised on 25 March 1680 in Slindon, Sussex.
He was the son of William Head and Ann Vagger.
Richard was buried on 5 March 1714/5 in Sutton.

William Heath and Mary may have had

William Heath was baptised on 18 February 1693/4 in
Bury. He was the son of William and Mary. He may have been
buried on 5 November 1712 in Sutton. The burial register
noted that he was the son of William Heath.

John Heath was baptised on 13 September 1696 in Bury.
He was the son of William and Mary.

Robert Heath was baptised on 24 August 1701 in Sutton.
The baptism register noted that he was the son of William and Mary.
Richard Head and
Elizabeth Piper had 6 known children:

Ann Head was born on 31 August 1703 and baptised on 10
September 1703 in Slindon. She was buried on 10 November 1767 in
Petworth, Sussex and the burial register noted that Anne Maine
was a widow and died of smallpox.
Ann married John Maine on 2 November 1724 in
Fittleworth. John was a butcher of Petworth and Ann was of Burton.
John Mayne was buried on 26 December 1762 in Petworth.
John and Ann had the following child:

Richard Maine was baptised on 10 January 1728/9 in
Sutton.

Elizabeth Head was born on 12 April 1705 and baptised on
the same day in Slindon.
Elizabeth may have married Abraham Somasil on 25 August
1736 in Wiggonholt, Sussex. He was from Coates and she was of
Burton.

Richard Head was baptised on 21 January 1706/7 in Sutton.

Thomas Head was baptised on 26 April 1709 in Sutton. He may
have been buried on 30 March 1733 in Sutton.

Jane Head was baptised on 13 July 1711 in Sutton.

Hannah Head was baptised on 25 October 1713 in Sutton.
Hannah
married Samuel Puttock by licence on 3 October 1744 in Amberley, Sussex. She was then of Northchapel, Sussex. Their
marriage licence recorded that Samuel was a bricklayer, and surety was
provided by John Maine a butcher of Petworth.

A
William Heath married Alice Heddington on 17 May 1703 in Rogate, Sussex. At
which time he was a labourer of Bramshot, Hampshire. He may then have
married Mary Moorer on 22 July 1706 in Rogate.
William Heath was buried on 5 August 1726 in Rogate.
William Heath and Mary Moorer had 2 known children:

Mary Heath was baptised on 5 May 1707 in Rogate. The baptism
register recorded that her father was a farmer.

John Heath was baptised on 8 March 1708/9 in Rogate. He was buried
there on 25 October 1770. John married Elizabeth and she was
buried on 29 November 1769 in Rogate as the wife of John Heath.
