William HAYSELLDEN (c1600-?)

and Alice ASHBY (1606-?)

William Haysellden and Alice Asheby were married on 5 May 1634 in Rotherfield, Sussex.

William Haysellden's date and place of birth/baptism are unknown, to me.  He died before 1640.

Alice Ashby was baptised on 6 July 1606 in Frant, Sussex.  She was the daughter of John Ashby.

As a widow of Rotherfield, Alice Haselden married Benjamin Harnden or Hernden a husbandman of Rotherfield, by licence on 26 November 1640 at All Saints ins Lewes, Sussex.

William Haysellden and Alice Ashby had 2 known children:

  1. William Haysellden was baptised on 25 July 1634 in Rotherfield and probably died as an infant.

  2. William Haysellden was baptised on 26 March 1637 in Rotherfield.  He may have married Ursula Callis alias Roberts (or vice versa) on 10 June 1662 in Heathfield, Sussex.

Might William and Alice have also been the parents of Ann Hasleden who married William Tomsett in 1658 in Frant?

Many thanks to Richard Ashby for additions to this page
