Thomas GUMBRELL (1623-1693)

and Elizabeth (?-1696)

 

 

Thomas Gumbrell (or Tonnlas/Tonnles/Tonnlis/Tonnus) and Elizabeth may have married in about 1657.

Thomas Gumbrell may have been baptised on 25 March 1623 in Kirdford, Sussex and have been the son of Daniel Gumbrell and Rebecca Upfold.  He may have been buried on 18 June 1693 in Barlavington, Sussex. 

Elizabeth was buried on 17 April 1696 in Barlavington, as Elizabeth Grumbrell.

 

Thomas Gumbrell and Elizabeth had 10 known children:

  1. Elizabeth Bummerrell was baptised on 28 June 1657 in Barlavington.

  2. Thomas Gumbrell was baptised on 27 April 1663 in Barlavington.

  3. Mary Tonnlas was baptised on 5 January 1664/5 in Chiddingfold, Surrey.

  4. Daniel Gumbrell was baptised on 6 or 22 April 1666 in Barlavington.

  5. Agnes Tonnus or Gumbrell was baptised on 16 March 1670 in Chiddingfold.

  6. William Gumbrell or Tonnles was baptised on 22 November 1672 in Chiddingfold.  Might he have married Grace Virgo in 1699?

  7. Elianer Tonnlis or Gumbrell was baptised on 5 November 1674 in Chiddingfold.

  8. Margarett Tonnlis or Gumbrell was baptised on 21 January 1676 in Chiddingfold.

  9. Henry Gumbrell was baptised on 20 June 1679 in Chiddingfold.

  10. John Gumbrell or Tonnles was baptised on 15 June 1684 in Chiddingfold.
