Daniel GUMBRELL (?-1688)

and Mary (?-1680)

and Sarah (?-1688)

Daniel Gumbrell and Mary married sometime before or about 1650.  Daniel may also have married Sarah More on 31 March 1687 in Warnham, Sussex.  (They were not my direct ancestors.)

Daniel Gumbrill's date and place of birth/baptism are unknown, to me.  He may have been buried on 13 August 1688 in Warnham.  Might he have been the son of Daniel Gumbrell and Rebecca Upfold who raised their family in Kirdford, Sussex?  I am assuming he was born in the 1620's.

Mary was buried on 8 June 1680 in Warnham.

Sarah widow of Daniel Gumbrill was buried on 16 September 1688 in Warnham.

Daniel Gumbrell and Mary may have had the following children:

  1. Thomas Gumbrell may have been part of this family.  He married Mary Feilder in 1681 in Warnham and they raised their family in Warnham.  (They have their own page.)

  2. Mary Stnontise was baptised on 1 May 1654 in Warnham.

  3. Daniel Towentes was baptised on 24 January 1657/8 in Warnham.  He may have been buried on 25 March 1718 in Warnham, as Daniel GumbrellDaniel Gumbrell of Warnham left a will in 1718.

    Daniel may have married Eleanor.

Eleanor wife of Daniel Gumbrell was buried on 19 June 1717 in Warnham.

  4. John Tountes was baptised on 29 September 1660 in Warnham and buried there on 9 September 1663.

  5. Anne Gumbrell was baptised on 1 May 1667 in Warnham.  An Ann Gumbrill was buried on 3 July 1695 in Warnham.

  6. Elizabeth Gumbrell was baptised on 1 May 1667 in Warnham.
