Nicholas GODSMARK (1597-1688)

and Elizabeth SLATER (c1605-?)

 

Nicholas Godsmark and Elizabeth Slater may have been my 9x Great Grandparents.  (Click here to see their possibly place in my pedigree chart.)  They married on 12 June 1628 in West Grinstead, Sussex.

Nicholas Godsmark may have been born in 1597.  He was the son of Nicholas Godsmark (1569-1635) and Elizabeth (?-1612).  He was buried in West Grinstead on 18 December 1688.

Elizabeth Slater's date and place of birth/baptism are unknown, to me.

 

Nicholas Godsmark and Elizabeth Slater had 7 known children:

  1. Elizabeth Godsmark was baptised on 26 May 1629 in West Grinstead and buried there on 27 February 1642/3.

  2. Dorothy Godsmark was baptised on 12 February 1630/1 in West Grinstead.  She married Solomon Carden on 23 August 1657 in West Grinstead.

  3. Leah Godsmark was baptised on 19 January 1633/4 in West Grinstead and buried there on 26 May 1643.

  4. Nicholas Godsmark was baptised on 5 April 1635 in West Grinstead.  He was buried on 6 March 1694/5 in West Grinstead.  Nicholas marriage Ann Agate on 17 October 1660 in West Grinstead.

  5. Barbara Godsmark was baptised on 27 November 1636 in West Grinstead and buried there on 2 January 1636/7.

  6. William Godsmark was baptised on 4 March 1637/8 in West Grinstead and buried there on 17 December 1641.

  7. Susan Godsmark, my possible 8x Great Grandmother, was baptised on 16 February 1639/40 in West Grinstead.  She married William Denman in 1672.  (They have their own page.)

 

Sometime back I picked up the above from a web site, but I can't find it now and can't remember who was the researcher.  Also please note that I am not certain of my Godsmark connection and have yet to do some research of my own.
