Thomas GLYD (c1510-?)

and Jane DANN (c1510-?)

Thomas Glyd and Jane Dann may have married in the 1530's.

Thomas Glydís date and place of birth/baptism are unknown, to me.  He may have been the son of Richard Glyd and Alice.

Jane Dannís date and place of birth/baptism are unknown, to me.

Thomas Glyd and Jane Dann may have had the following children:

  1. Henry Glyd may have been born in the 1530's.  He married Jane Sander in 1566.  (They have their own page.)

  2. John Glide may have been born in the 1530's.  He married Margery.  They had the following child:

    1. Margarite Glide was baptised on 8 September 1560 in Brightling.

  3. Richard Glyd may have been born in the 1540's.  He married Martha Scotsford.  (They have their own page.)

In a 1567 description of the property Great Worge  in Brightling, Thomas Glyd the elder was said to have had built the kitchen there in about 1550.  He inherited the property from Richard Glyd who had been granted an 80 year lease in 1530.
