My Gadsby Ancestors

A 5x Great Grandmother was Lucy Gadsby who married Charles French in 1764 at St. John, Southover near Lewes, Sussex. She was baptised at the age of 16 in 1753 in Ringmer, Sussex. Unfortunately her parent's names were not recorded in the register.

The Gadsbys seem fairly few in number in Sussex, so I am attempting to find as much as I can on all those with the Gadsby name, pre about 1800. This may then help me to identify possible parents of "my" 5x Great Grandmother and illiminate the impossible.
