They were both then said to be of Westerham in Kent and Edward was a
husbandman. Their marriage licence was issued on 22 June 1710 by the
Archdeaconry of Lewes. (They were not my direct ancestors.)
Edward Gadsby was probably baptised on 17 March 1677/8 in Little Horsted, Sussex, the son of
and Joan (c1650-1728). He was buried on 2 July 1770 in Rotherfield
and the burial register noted that he was very old.
Ellenor Young was baptised on 13 April 1684 in Rotherfield,
Sussex. She was the daughter of Harbert Young and
She was buried on 11 March 1758 in Rotherfield and the burial register noted
that she was the wife of Edward Gadsby.
