William FULLER (1684-1722)

and Ann MILLS (c1685-1732)

 

William Fuller and Ann Mills married by licence on 16 September 1707 in Herstmonceux, Sussex.  At the time William was of Brede, Sussex and Ann of Thakeham, Sussex, as per the Sussex marriage index.

William Fuller was baptised on 25 December 1684 in Brede, Sussex.  He was the son of Thomas Fuller (1655-1704) and Elizabeth.  He was buried on 7 November 1722.

Ann Mills’s date and place of birth/baptism are unknown, to me.  As Ann Fuller, widow, she married John Inkpen on 17 April 1723 in Brede.  She was buried on 20 November 1732 in Brede and the burial register noted that she was the wife of John Inkpen.  Might she have been the daughter of John Mills and Sarah Fuller who married on 13 May 1675 in Thakeham, Sussex?  They had 3 sons baptised there (as per the IGI) in 1676, 1680 and 1687.

John Inkpen's date and place of birth/baptism are unknown, to me.  He was buried on 21 January 1749/50 in Brede.  After Ann's death he may have married Susan Glass on 20 April 1733 in Brede.

 

William Fuller and Ann Mills had 8 or 9 known children: 5 202

  1. Ann Fuller was born on 2 March and baptised on 14 March 1707/8 in Brede and buried there on 18 October 1720.

  2. Elizabeth Fuller was born on 12 August 1708 and baptised on 15 August 1708 in Brede.  This entry comes from a transcript of the Brede baptism register, but there is only 5 months between the birth of Ann and Elizabeth.

  3. Mary Fuller was baptised on 9 September 1709 in Brede and buried there on 14 October 1710.  The Brede baptism transcript also records that Mary Fuller daughter of William and Ann was baptised on 15 October 1710.

  4. William Fuller was born on 23 February and baptised on 24 February 1711/2 in Brede.  He was buried in Brede on 18 April 1712.

  5. John Fuller was born on 4 July and baptised on 6 July 1713 in Brede.

  6. Thomas Fuller was born on 1 February and baptised on 14 February 1713/4 in Brede.  He probably died young.

  7. Betty Fuller was baptised on 8 June 1715 in Brede.

  8. Mary Fuller was baptised on 5 July 1719 in Brede and buried there on 16 April 1721.

  9. Thomas Fuller was baptised on 19 June 1722 in Brede.

 

John Inkpen and Ann Mills had 3 known children:

  1. Margaret Inkpen was baptised on 7 June 1724 in Brede and buried there on 26 June 1724.

  2. Susanna Inkpen was baptised on 6 February 1725/6 in Brede

  3. Sarah Inkpen was baptised on 29 September 1728 in Brede.
