Thomas FULLER (c1630-1700)

and Susan (?-1674)

and Mary (?-1691)

 

Thomas Fuller and Susan married sometime before or about 1655.  They raised their family is Brede, Sussex.  Thomas may have married again to Mary.

Thomas Fuller's date and place of birth/baptism are unknown, to me.  Might he have been related to Richard Fuller who had children baptised in Brede between 1618 and 1624?  He was not Richard's son, as his son Thomas had died before 1645.  He may have been buried as Thomas Fuller of Fairlight on 27 November 1700 in Brede.  But another Thomas Fuller was buried in Brede on 4 April 1704 and he was said to be a poor labourer.  On 8 March 1680, Thomas, or his son, was a juror at the trial of Thomas Fuller of Brede who was accused of murdering his son.

Susan was buried on 8 May 1674 in Brede and the burial register noted that she was the wife of Thomas Fuller.

Mary was buried on 16 October 1691 in Brede and the burial register noted that she was the wife of Thomas Fuller, senior.

 

Thomas Fuller and Susan had 9 known children:

  1. Thomas Fuller was born on 27 November and baptised on 9 December 1655 in Brede.

  2. Marey Fuller was baptised on 20 March 1656/7 in Brede and buried there on 22 June 1657.

  3. Thomas Fuller was baptised on 22 August 1658 in Brede.  (Another Thomas Fuller was born in 1655 in Brede, the son of Richard Fuller, but I think he married Elizabeth Laby in 1681.)

    Thomas may have married twice, firstly to Elizabeth Colvy on 27 February 1689/90 in Brede.  She was then of Udimore, Sussex.  He may have next married Elizabeth Farncombe on 15 June 1693 in Bodiam.  He was then of Brede and she was a widow of Fairlight.

    Elizabeth was buried on 6 February 1691/2 in Brede and the burial register noted that she was the wife of Thomas Fuller, junior.

    Thomas and his first wife Elizabeth had 2 known children:

    1. Thomas Fuller was baptised on 11 December 1690 in Brede.

    2. John Fuller was baptised on 1 February 1691/2 and buried on 6 February 1691/2 in Brede.  Both the baptism and burial register noted that his father was Thomas Fuller, junior.

  4. Robert Fuller was baptised on 20 January 1660/1 in Brede and buried there on 7 February 1663/4.

  5. John Fuller was baptised on 15 March 1662/3 in Brede.

  6. Richard Fuller was baptised on 16 April 1665 in Brede.

  7. Susanna Fuller was baptised on 3 March 1666/7 in Brede.

  8. Mathew Fuller was baptised on 7 February 1668/9 in Brede.

  9. Ann Fuller was buried on 21 March 1670/1 in Brede.
