Richard was mentioned in his father's 1776 will.
As Richard Freeman the younger he was to receive a legacy of fifty
pounds by the terms the 1775
will of his
kinsman John Freeman.
Mary Lish was baptised on 21 November 1743 in Ashington, Sussex.
She was the daughter of James Lish and Mary Gurr. She
was buried on 26 October 1811 in West Grinstead. Her father was a
miller of Ashington.
A Removal Order was issued on 10 July 1771 and a Settlement Certficate on 15
July 1771 to Richard Freeman, wife Mary and 1 year old son
Richard, parishes involved were Ashurst and Washington.
In 1776 Richard Freeman was in occupation of 30 acres of land called
Goreland in the parishes of West Grinstead and Ashurst.

John Freeman was baptised on 26 February 1788 in West Grinstead.
