Richard FREEMAN (c1685-1755)

and Unknown (?-aft 1752)

 

Richard Freeman was most probably my 7x Great Grandfather.  (Click here to see their place in my pedigree chart.)

Richard Freeman's date and place of birth/baptism are unknown, to me.  He was the son of Richard Freeman (c1660-1743).  He was buried on 28 August 1755 in West Grinstead.  Richard left a will dated 15 July 1752 and proved on 2 October 1755 - click here to read my transcript of his will.  He mentioned his wife in his will, but not by name.  Richard was mentioned in his brother's will of 1707.

I think it possible that Richard first married Mary around about 1710, who may have died in 1747.  Richard may then have married Elizabeth Burchill who in turn may have married William Belchamber in 1756.

 

Richard Freeman and unknown had 3 known children:

  1. Mary Freeman was mentioned in her father's will and was left a legacy of thirty pounds.

  2. Ann Freeman was mentioned in her father's will and was left a legacy of thirty pounds.

  3. Richard Freeman, my 6x Great Grandfather, was mentioned in his father's will.  He married twice, firstly to Mary Bennet in 1744 and then to Elizabeth Burchill in 1748.  (They have their own page.)
