Henry FAULKNER (1602-1665)

and Mary (?-?)

 

Henry Faulkner and Mary were my 9x Great Grandparents.  (Click here to see their place in my pedigree chart.)  They may also have been my 11x Great Grandparents.  (Click here to see their possible place in my pedigree chart.)  They married sometime before or about 1634 in or around East Grinstead, Sussex.  No possible marriage has been found for them in the Sussex or Sussex marriage indexes or the IGI.

Henry Falkoner was baptised on 19 December 1602 in Cuckfield, Sussex.  He was the son of Henry Faulconer (1566-1633) and Joan Brett (c1570-1636).  He was buried on 16 May 1665 in Balcombe, Sussex.  He was an executor of his father's 1632 will and that of his uncle Thomas in 1651.  Administration of his estate was granted to his brother John Faulconer on 24 October 1668.

Mary's date and place of birth/baptism are unknown, to me.

 

Henry Faulkner and Mary had 5 known children:

  1. Mary Falkner was baptised on 4 May 1634 in East Grinstead.  As Mary Faulconer she may have married John Lee on 2 November 1652 in East Grinstead.

  2. Henry Faulkner was baptised on 17 January 1635/6 in East Grinstead.

  3. Bridget Faulkner, my 8x Great Grandmother, was baptised on 17 December 1637 in East Grinstead.  She married William Norman in 1657.  (They have their own page.)

  4. Elizabeth Faulkner was baptised on 20 February 1639/40 in East Grinstead.  As Elizabeth Falcknor she may have married Richard Best on 19 May 1659 in East Grinstead.

  5. Joan Fauconer was baptised on 18 April 1645 in East Grinstead.
