Richard ETHERIDGE (c1630-?)

and Alice PARSONS (c1635-1692)

 

Richard Etheridge and Alice Parson may have been my 8x Great Grandparents.  (Click here to see their possible place in my pedigree chart.)  They married on 11 May 1658 in Thakeham, Sussex.

Richard Etheridge's date and place of birth/baptism are unknown, to me.  Might he have been the son of Thomas Etheridge and Agnes Turneagayne who married in December 1608 in Thakeham?

Alice Parsons date and place of birth/baptism are unknown, to me.  She was buried on 16 September 1692 in Thakeham.  Might she have been the daughter of John Parson and Joan Tanner who married on 30 November 1632 in Thakeham?

 

Richard Etheridge and Alice Parsons had 5 known children:

  1. Elizabeth Etheridge was baptised on 30 January 1657/8 in Thakeham.  Only her father's name was recorded in the baptism register.

  2. Richard Etheridge was baptised on 11 March 1658/9 in Thakeham.  Only his father's name was recorded in the baptism register.

    Richard married Elizabeth Andrew on 11 April 1692 in Thakeham.

    Richard and Elizabeth had the following children:

    1. Elizabeth Etheridg was baptised on 8 September 1695 in Thakeham.

    2. Simon Etheridge was baptised on 15 March 1701 in Thakeham.

  3. Daniel Etheridge, my possible 7x Great Grandfather, was born in 1664 in Thakeham.  He married Mary Greenfield in 1697.  (They have their own page.)

  4. Sarah Etheridge was baptised on 28 August 1666 in Thakeham.

  5. Isaac Etheridge was baptised on 30 October 1676 in Thakeham.
