George ELSEY (1642-1717)

and Mary NORMAN (1644-1716)

Photo taken from http://gen.culpepper.com/Archives/uk/places/ardingly.htmGeorge Elsey and Mary Norman were my 8x Great Grandparents.  (Click here to see their place in my pedigree chart.)  They married on 7 October 1675 at the parish church of St. Peter's in Ardingly, Sussex.

George Elsey was baptised on 2 October 1642 in Ardingly.  He was the son of 5 255 John Elsey (c1620-1673) and 5 255 Mary Burtenshaw (1622-1692).  He was buried on 21 May 1717 in Ardingly.

Mary Norman was baptised on 24 November 1644 in Cuckfield, Sussex.  She was the daughter of 5 253 Richard Norman (1611-?) and 5 253 Dorothy.  She was buried on 28 October 1716 in Ardingly. 5 246

 

George Elsey and Mary Norman had 2 known children:

  1. John Elsey, my 7x Great Grandfather, was baptised on 11 February 1682/3 in Ardingly.  He married Mary Pick in 1710.  (They have their own page.)

  2. Mary Elsey was baptised on 11 January 1686/7 in Ardingly.
