William EDE (c1675-?)

and Mary DENTON (c1675-?)

 

William Ede and Mary Denton married on 23 May 1699 in Horsham, Sussex.  She was then a spinster.

William Ede's date and place of birth/baptism are unknown, to me.  Might he have been born on 27 May 1668 and baptised on 14 June 1668 in Horsham, the son of Peter Eede (?-1673) and Ann Daniell?  Or was he born on 19 September 1679 and baptised on 21 October 1679 in Horsham, the son of John Eede and Elizabeth?  A William Eede was buried as a child on 6 May 1683 in Horsham.

Mary Denton's date and place of birth/baptism are unknown, to me.

 

William Ede and Mary Denton had 3 known children:

  1. Mary Ead was baptised on 8 May 1700 in Shipley, Sussex.  She may have married John Mansbridge in 1724.

  2. William Ede was baptised on 29 April 1702 in Shipley.

  3. John Ede was baptised on 1 November 1704 in Shipley.
