John EDE (c1700-1750)

and Mary WOOLGAR (1705-1744)

 

John Ede and Mary Woolgar married on 16 February 1733/4 in Henfield, Sussex.  (They were not my direct ancestors.  Mary was the sister of my 6x Great Grandfather, Stephen Woolgar.)

John Ede's date and place of birth/baptism are unknown, to me.  He was buried on 3 October 1750 in Henfield.

Mary Woolgar was baptised on 26 January 1704/5 in Henfield.  She was the daughter of 5 221 William Woolgar (1671-1745) and 5 221 Sarah Hill (1676-1750).  Mary was buried on 13 July 1744 in Henfield.

 

John Ede and Mary Woolgar had 7 known children:

  1. Richard Ede was baptised on 12 March 1734/5 in Henfield.  He was buried there on 14 May 1776.

    Richard married Sarah Ridge on 31 May 1759 in Henfield.

    Sarah was born about 1738 and died or was buried on 23 February 1766 in Horsham, Sussex.

    Richard and Sarah had the following children:

    1. Sarah Eade

    2. John Ede

    3. Richard Ede

    4. Charles Ede

  2. Ann Eade was baptised on 22 January 1636/7 in Henfield.  She was buried on 9 May 1802 in Woodmancote, Sussex.

    Ann married John Evans on 28 October 1762 in Henfield.

    John was buried in Woodmancote on 11 December 1808.

  3. Mary Ede was baptised on 25 September 1737 in Henfield.

  4. Sarah Ede was baptised on 25 September 1737 in Henfield.

  5. John Ede was baptised on 18 July 1738 in Henfield.

  6. Elizabeth Eede was baptised on 1 January 1739/40 in Henfield.

  7. Charles Ede was baptised on 9 April 1741 in Henfield.
