29 December 1694 by the Archdeaconry of Lewes. The licence noted
that he was from Lewes and she a spinster of West Firle. (William's sister married Jane's brother.)

11 May 1624 by the Archdeaconry of Lewes, which noted that he was a
hammerman and she a spinster, and they were both from Worth.

1638. A marriage licence was issued by the Archdeaconry of Lewes on 27
March 1638, which noted that John was a forgeman from Mayfield and Joan was
a widow from Brightling.
