November 1705 in Isfield but the burial register just records that a

The Sussex Family History Groups's marriage index records that a George
Duffield and Mary Cretolder were married on 20 October 1724 in
the Fleet Prison, London. George was said to be of Isbet(?), Sussex
and Mary of Ringmer, Sussex.
Margaret was buried on 29 January 1769 in Isfield.
George and Margaret had 2 known children:

in Isfield. I’m not sure if the marriage was for 1703 Jane, as there were

Elizabeth Doefield, my 7x Great
Grandmother, was born on 28 April and baptised on 8 May 1707 in Isfield.

Isfield. A Henry Duffield was buried on 10 May 1781
and another on 28 December
1782, both in Ringmer. (The 1782 burial may have been that of
Henry born in 1766, see below.)

on 26 November 1735 in Ringmer. He was then of Wartling and she of

Sarah Duffield on 21 August 1761, both in Ringmer.
Henry and Sarah had 1 known daughter:
was baptised on 16 July 1738 in Ringmer.
Henry, or a possible son, married Lucy Pelham on 22
August 1765 in Ringmer.
Henry, or again a possible son, purchased the Ship Inn, Ringmer in 1776
William Gadsby. Previously the Duffield family had
been tenants of the Ship Inn. Henry was headborough of Wellingham
in 1748, 1753, 1757 and 1762 and the alternate candidate in 1754, 1756
and 1764. He left a will in 1777 which was proved in 1781.

Lucia was baptised on 2 July 1737 in Little Horsted and was the daughter
of John Pelham and Mary Moon.
After the death of her husband in 1781 she took over the running of the
Ship Inn until her death (ref. John Kay). Lucy died aged 83 years
and was buried on 28 March 1821 in Ringmer.
Henry and Lucy had the following children:
Henry Duffield was baptised on 29 July 1765 in Ringmer
and presumably died as an infant.
Henry Duffield was baptised on 2 July 1766 in Ringmer.
Thomas Duffield was baptised on 10 May 1768 in Ringmer.
He was buried on 10 October 1805 in Ringmer.
Thomas married Charity Hailsden by banns on 27 October
1789 in Litte Horsted. They were both then of Little Horsted.
Thomas and Lucy had the following children:
Lucy Duffield was baptised on 21 January 1791 in
Ringmer. Lucy married John Dicker by banns on
19 June 1811 in Ringmer. They were both then of Ringmer.
Sarah Duffield was baptised on 23 August 1793 in
Marianne Duffield was baptised on 10 October 1795
in Ringmer. She may have married Henry Champion
by banns on 5 October 1819 in Ringmer. He was from Little
Horsted and she was of Ringmer.
Elizabeth Duffield was baptised on 31 August 1798
Sophia Duffield was baptised on 21 September 1800
in Ringmer. She married William Wilmshurst by
banns on 14 February 1821 in Ringmer. They were both said to
be of Ringmer.
George Henry Duffield was baptised on 13 May 1803 in
Ringmer. He married Lucy Howell by banns on
22 April 1827 at St. Anne's in Lewes.
Charles Duffield was baptised on 17 September 1770 in
Ringmer, however, his parents were not named in the baptism register.
Might the baptism have been of Charlotte Duffield who
was buried on 19 January 1775 in Ringmer?
