James DENYER (c1770-?)

and Sarah PELLETT (c1770-?)

 

James Denyer and Sarah Pellett married by banns 1 August 1793 in Wisborough Green, Sussex.  They were both then of the parish of Wisborough Green.  The witnesses to the marriage were George Streeter, James Kinggett and Susan Pellett.  (They were not my direct ancestors.)

James Denyer's date and place of birth/baptism are unknown, to me.

Sarah Pellett's date and place of birth/baptism are unknown, to me.  Might she have been the daughter of James Pellett and Mary Grinstead who married on 3 April 1768 in Billingshurst, Sussex?

 

James Denyer and Sarah Pellett had 7 known children:

  1. Dinah Denyer was baptised on 1 December 1793 in Wisborough Green.  She married William Kingett by banns on 11 June 1816 in Wisborough Green.  She was then a spinster and he a bachelor and they were both of Wisborough Green.  The witnesses to the marriage were Silas Hoad and Mary Streeter.

  2. Rebecca Denyer was baptised on 3 January 1796 in Wisborough Green.

  3. James Denyer was born on 1 April 1800 and baptised on 4 May 1800 in Wisborough Green.  He died on 5 February 1868 and was buried on 9 February 1868 in Wisborough Green.  He married Elizabeth Cooper by banns on 5 June 1824 in Wisborough Green.  They were both then of Wisborough Green and he was a bachelor.  The witnesses to the marriage were Edward Stone and Sophia Stone.

    Elizabeth Cooper was born on 1 July 1802 and baptised on 1 August 1802 in Wisborough Green.  She was the daughter of Henry Cooper and Elizabeth Bridgwater.  Elizabeth died on 30 January 1870 and was buried on 2 February 1870 in Wisborough Green.

    James and Elizabeth had 7 known children.

  4. Elizabeth Denyer was baptised on 23 May 1802 in Wisborough Green.

  5. Sarah Denyer was born on 15 June and baptised on 15 July 184 in Wisborough Green.

  6. George Denyer was born on 21 April and baptised on 18 May 1806 in Wisborough Green.

  7. Charles Denyer was born on 27 April and baptised on 3 July 1808 in Wisborough Green.

  8. David Denyer was born on 25 June and baptised on 29 July 1810 in Wisborough Green.  He married Rhoda Stemp on 30 May 1840 in Wisborough Green.

  9. Edward Denyer was born on 6 March and baptised on 18 April 1813 in Wisborough Green.

  10. Elisha Denyer (daughter) was born on 14 April and baptised on 11 June 1815 in Wisborough Green.
