Abigail Crouch she married Thomas Eldridge on 27 May 1809 in Ewhurst,
was baptised on 14 June 1778 in Sedlescombe, Sussex and was the son of
Thomas Eldridge (1752-1825) and Elizabeth
Hiscock (1758-1792). He died on 5 November 1848 in
the 1841 census was recorded Thomas was said to be a 60 year old
carpenter and he was living at Snags Hall in Ewhurst along with his
children Louis and Edgar. Also with the family was 13 year old
Aaron Soloman and 35 year old Henry Newble.

Ann married Jesse Hawkins on 13 December 1808 in
was baptised on 27 December 1789 in Burwash and was the son of
Jesse Hawkins and Sarah Watson.
When the 1841 census was recorded, 50 year old Ann was a labouring woman
and she was living with her daughter Hannah in the Square in Burwash.

Henry was baptised on 14 April 1793 in Burwash and was the son of
John Fleming (c1759-1839) and
Philadelphia Crouch was baptised on 23 October 1791 in Burwash.
She may have married Samuel Croft on 3 May 1809 in
William Forward on 9 October 1810 in Ticehurst.
Crouch may have been part of this family. He was born
about 1794/5 in Burwash, although his baptism does not appear in the
baptism register around about that time.
John married Frances Barham on 8 February 1814 in
Ewhurst. He was then of Udimore.
Frances was born about 1792 in Bethersden, Kent.
When the 1841 census was recorded the couple were living at Suckwish
Farm in Brightling. He was then said to be a 45 year old
agricultural labourer and Frances's age was recorded as 50 years.
With them on census night were 5 children.

Bodiam. He was then from Ewhurst. When the 1851 census was
recorded the couple and 3 of their children were living at Colliers
Green in Ewhurst. George was then a 46 year old agricultural
labourer and Mary was 49. He gave his place of birth as Burwash
and she as Bodiam.
Mary was baptised on 21 June 1801 in Bodiam and was the daughter of
James Weaver and Elizabeth. She
died between 1852 and 1854.
George married for a second time to Philadelphia Whyborn
on 20 February 1856 in Ewhurst. As Philadelphia Read
she had previously married William Wybourn on 10 March
1821 in Seddlescombe, Sussex.
George and Mary had the following children:

he was an unmarried 25 year old agricultural labourer and he was living
at home with his parents.
