The Will of

In the name of God Amen I
John Cripps of West
grinsted in the County of Sussex yeom beinge sicke in body but thanks bee to
God of perfect memory Doo make this my last Will & Testament in manner &
form followinge Impris I give & bequeath my sole to Almighty God hopinge
through my Sav Jesus Christ to [---] [---] of my sins my body to the Earth
to be buried by my Extrix hereafter named in decent manner [---] [---] to
her discretion Item I give and bequeath to my Mother-in-law Mary
Cripps the sum of four pounds of lawfull money of England to bee paid
within nine months after my decease Item I give & bequeath unto the
poor of ye parish of Cowfold Twenty shillings to be paid within one month
after my decease Item I give & bequeath unto the poor of the parish of
West grinsted twenty shillings to be paid within one month after my decease
Item I give and bequeath unto my Brother Thomas Cripps the sum of
Sixty pounds of lawfull money of England to be paid within nine months after
my decease Item I give & bequeath unto my Sister Jane Mitchell
ye sum of Five pounds of lawfull money of England to bee paid within nine
months after my decease Item I give & bequeath unto my Sister

Woolvin ye Sum of five pounds to be paid within nine months after my
decease Item I give and bequeath unto Mary Cripps daughter of
my Uncle Joseph Cripps tenn pounds of lawfull money of England to bee

one & twenty years & if either of the children shall happen to dy then to be
paid to which of them shall bee livinge Item I give and bequeath unto

Woolven two sons of my sister Anne Woolven the summ of five
pounds a piece to be paid att the age of one and twenty years of lawfull
money of England but if either of them shall happen to dy before the age of
one & twenty years aforesaid then the [---] tenn pounds shall bee paid unto
