Thomas COMBER (1729-1807)

and Amy CREASY (1732-?)

Thomas Comber and Emme Cresey married on 29 January 1761 in West Hoathly, Sussex.  At the time Thomas was a yeoman of Ardingly and signed his name.  Emme was a spinster of West Hoathly and made her mark.  The witnesses were James Walker and Benjamin Creasy who both signed their names.  (They were not my direct ancestors.  Thomas was the nephew of my 6x great grandmother, Anne Comber.)

Thomas Comber was born on 5 July 1729 and baptised on 20 July 1729 in Ardingly, Sussex.  He was the son of John Comber (1692-1762) and Catherine Illman (1691-1762).  Thomas died aged 77 years and was buried on 8 July 1807 in Ardingly.  He was mentioned in his father's 1762 Will and that of his Uncle William Comber in 1778.

Amy Creasy was baptised on 18 June 1732 in West Hoathly.  She was the daughter of Benjamin Creasy (1685-?) and Sarah Killick (1698-?).
