Edward COLBRAN (c1664-?)

and Ann CROUCH (c1670-?)

and Barbara WOOD (c1680-?)

 

Edward Colbran married twice, firstly to Ann Crouch on 25 February 1695/6 in Heathfield, Sussex.  Edward was then said to be of nearby Warbleton and Ann of Heathfield.  He next married Barbara Wood on 4 February 1706/7 in Warbleton, at which time they were both of that parish.  (They were not my direct ancestors.)

Edward Colbran was the son of Edward Colbran and Sarah Gower.  He may have been born sometime between 1664 and 1675.  He have died or have been buried on 12 May 1731 in Heathfield.

Ann Crouch's date and place of birth/baptism are unknown, to me.

Barbara Wood's date and place of birth/baptism are unknown, to me. 

 

Edward Colbran and Barbara Wood had 9 known children:

  1. Edward Colbran was baptised on 6 February 1707 in Warbleton.

  2. John Colbran was baptised on 6 March 1709 in Warbleton.

  3. Thomas Colbran was baptised on 15 February 1711 in Warbleton.  He died in 1770.

    Thomas married Elizabeth Gibbs on 28 April 1752 in Wartling, Sussex.

    Thomas and Elizabeth had the following children:

    1. John Colbran was born in 1753 in Warbleton.  John married Mary Pattenden by banns on 25 April 1782 in Warbleton.  They were both then of Warbleton.  John and Mary had the following children:

      1. Sarah Colbran was born in 1783 and died in 1784.

      2. Mary Colbran was born in 1785.  Mary married Samuel Hayward on 24 May 1804 in Herstmonceux.

      3. Robert Colbran was born in 1787 and died in 1862.

      4. Thomas Colbran was born in 1792 and died in 1869.

      5. Elizabeth Colbran was born and died in 1793.

      6. Edward Colbran was born in 1797.

      7. Samuel Colbran was born and died in 1798.

    2. Elizabeth Colbran was born/baptised on 31 March 1754.

  4. Edward Colbran was baptised on 18 July 1712 in Warbleton.

  5. Sarah Colbran was baptised on 6 November 1713 in Warbleton.

  6. Edward Colbran was baptised on 6 May 1716 in Warbleton.  He married Hannah Uridge in 1741.  ( They have their own page).

  7. Josias Colbran was baptised in March 1718 in Warbleton and buried there on 12 September 1719.

  8. Samuel Colbran was baptised on 4 June 1721 in Warbleton.

  9. Mary Colbran was baptised on 25 April 1725 in Warbleton.
