Family History is my hobby.  I am not a professional genealogist.

My Cobby Ancestors

I may have 2 links into the Cobby family.

The most recent is via a possible 5x Great Grandfather William Stilve alias Cobby who was baptised in Northchapel, Sussex in 1737.  His children were baptised in Henfield, Sussex as Stilve, but they then became Stillaway.  William was the son of William Cobby and Elizabeth Nowel who had married in Northchapel in 1736.

A 6x Great Grandmother may have been Mary Cobby who married Daniel Wild in 1736 in Heyshott, Sussex.  She may have been born in Woolavington, Sussex in 1715 to John Cobby and Mary Overington nee Willard, but as yet I have no real evidence to prove my theory.
