David CATT

David Catt and Mary Tree married in the fourth
quarter of 1861 in the Cranbrook registration district. (They were not
my direct ancestors.)
David Catt was born in the fourth quarter of 1839 in Sandhurst, Kent.
He was the son of David Catt (1810-1894) and
Frances Hyland (1814-1888). He died aged 86 years in the
fourth quarter of 1925 in Sandhurst. When the 1861 census was recorded
he was an unmarried 21 year old agricultural labourer living at home with
his parents at Longleys Cottage in Sandhurst.
Mary Tree was born in the fourth quarter of 1843 in
Newenden, Kent and baptised there at St. Peter's parish church on 27 April
1844. She was the daughter of Thomas Tree (c1805-?)
and Mary (c1806-?). She died aged 72 years in the
third quarter of 1916 in Sandhurst. When the 1861 census was recorded
she was 17 years old and living with her parents at Lamberden in Sandhurst.
The 1871 census records that the family were living near Heronden in
Sandhurst. David was then a 32 year old farm labourer and Mary was 28.
When the 1881 census was recorded, 41 year old David was an agricultural
labourer living at Lamberden, Sandhurst, along with his 37 year old wife
Mary, 9 children and 1 year old granddaughter, Alice Paine Tree.
In 1891 David was a 51 year old agricultural labourer living with
his 47 year old wife Mary, 9 children and 11 year old granddaughter
Alice P. Tree at Lamberden in Sandhurst.
David Catt and Mary Tree had

Ann Catt Tree was born in the fourth quarter of 1860 in
Newenden. At the time of the 1861 census, Ann Tree
was 6 months old and living with her mother and maternal grandparents at
Lamberden, Sandhurst. The 1871 census records
that Ann Tree Catt was 10 years old. In 1881,
Ann Catt Tree was 20 years old and living at home with
her parents.

Robert Catt was born about 1865 in Sandhurst. He
was 6 years old in 1871. In 1881 he was a 16 year old waggoner's
mate.

Henry Catt was born about 1867 in Sandhurst. He was
4 years old in 1871. In 1881, Harry Catt was a 14
year old agricultural labourer.

Frederick Catt was born about 1869 in Sandhurst. He
was 2 years old in 1871. In 1881 he was a 12 year old scholar.

Albert Catt
was born in the second quarter of 1871 in Sandhurst. He married
Annie Harden

in Sandhurst. He was an 8 year old scholar in 1881. In 1891
he was an 18 year old agricultural labourer living at home.

was a 16 year old agricultural labourer.

quarter of 1881 in Sanhurst. He was a 9 year old scholar in 1891.

Sandhurst. He was a 7 year old scholar in 1891.

years old in 1891.
