David CATT (1839-1925)

and Mary Elizabeth TREE (1843-1916)

David Catt and Mary Tree married in the fourth quarter of 1861 in the Cranbrook registration district.  (They were not my direct ancestors.)

The 1871 census records that the family were living near Heronden in Sandhurst.  David was then a 32 year old farm labourer and Mary was 28.  When the 1881 census was recorded, 41 year old David was an agricultural labourer living at Lamberden, Sandhurst, along with his 37 year old wife Mary, 9 children and 1 year old granddaughter, Alice Paine Tree.  In 1891 David was a 51 year old agricultural labourer living with his 47 year old wife Mary, 9 children and 11 year old granddaughter Alice P.
