Richard CARVER (1707-?)

and Anne HENRY (1709-?)

Richard Carver and Anne Henry married banns on 24 December 1732 in Wiggonholt, Sussex.  At the time Ann was of Sutton, Sussex.  (They were not my direct ancestors.  Anne was the sister of my 6x Great Grandfather, Joseph Henry.)

Richard Carver was probably baptised on 14 March 1706/7 in Sutton, Sussex, the son of John Carver and Mary Roe.  He may have been buried on 23 September 1753 or 15 November 1754 in Sutton.  Both burials just gave the name Richard Carver and no further details.

Anne Henry was baptised on 30 December 1709 in Petworth, Sussex.  She was the daughter of  William Henry (c1655-1727) and Ann Edwards (1673-1749).  She may have been buried as Ann Carver on 18 November 1792 in Sutton.

Richard Carver and Anne Henry had 4 known children:

  1. Hannah Carver was baptised on 15 August 1736 in Sutton.

  2. John Carver was baptised on 12 June 1743 in Sutton.

  3. Henry Carver was baptised on 24 February 1747 in Sutton.

  4. Mary Carver was baptised on 12 August 1750 in Sutton.
