My Burtenshaw Ancestors

I have 2 possible Burtenshaw ancestral lines, both via 9x Great Grandmothers.

The first is Mary Burtenshaw who married John Elsey in 1641 in Ardingly, Sussex. She was born in Cuckfield, Sussex in 1622 and was the daughter of John Burtenshaw and Mary Wheeler, who had married there in 1615.

My second link is with Elizabeth Burtenshaw who married John Midhurst in 1649 in Cowfold, Sussex. But, there is a slight problem. My 4x Great Grandfather was Richard Spicer, who I would guess was born about 1780/1, but so far I haven't found a baptism for him. I am further speculating that he was the son of Richard Spicer and Ann Terry. If so, then Elizabeth Burtenshaw was my 9x Great Grandmother.
