They may have married sometime before or about 1725 and possible in or near
date and place of birth/baptism are unknown, to me. He may have been
baptised on 30 September 1705 in Henham, Essex, the son of Robert
Brand and Mary Newland, who had married on 10
October 1704 in Henham. However, a John Brand and
Martha had children baptised in Henham between 1724 and
1739 (see further below).
