Edward BOXE (c1570-?)

and Mary KID (c1570-?)

 

Edward Bookes and Mary Kid married on 22 September 1594 in Barcombe, Sussex.  (They were not my direct ancestors.)

Edward Boxe's date and place of birth/baptism are unknown, to me.  He may have been buried on 16 March 1612 in Barcombe.

Mary Kid's date and place of birth/baptism are unknown, to me.

 

Edward Boxe and Mary Kid had 9 known children: 

  1. Thomas Bookes was baptised on 16 May 1596 in Barcombe.

    As Thomas Box he may have married Agnes Venner on 22 May 1620 in Barcombe.  They were both then of Barcombe.

  2. Joan Boxe was baptised on 21 May 1598 in Barcombe.  She was buried there on 1 November 1618 and the burial register recorded that she was the daughter of Edward Box.

  3. Francis Bokes was baptised on 13 January 1599/1600 in Barcombe.

  4. Agnes Bookes was baptised on 10 October 1602 in Barcombe.  As Agnes Boakes, did she marry William Blunden on 30 October 1627 in Newick, Sussex?  They were both then said to be of Newick.

  5. Wylliam Bookes was baptised on 30 September 1604 in Barcombe.  He was buried there on 13 January 1617/8 and burial register recorded that he was the son of Edward Box.

  6. Elizabeth Boxe was baptised on 28 September 1606 in Barcombe.

    As Elizabeth Boax she may have married John Austin on 16 October 1632 in Barcombe.  He was then of Ringmer and she of Barcombe.  (An Elizabeth Boks married Abraham Crampe on 7 June 1629 in Kingston by Lewes, Sussex.)

  7. Anna Boxe was baptised on 7 August 1608 in Barcombe.

  8. Edward Boxe was baptised on 9 October 1608 in Barcombe.

    Edward was the father of the following son:

    1. William Boakes was baptised on 10 December 1643 in Barcombe.

  9. Dorothye Boxe was baptised on 8 November 1612 in Barcomeb.

    As Dorothy Bokes she may have married Thomas Whiteman on 24 April 1638 in Barcombe.
