John BOURNE
(c1700-1774)
and Mary JARRET (c1700-1772)

John
Boorn and
Mary Jarret
married on 27 April 1720 in Hooe, Sussex.
John was then of Brede, Sussex and Mary of Hooe. (They were not my
direct ancestors.)
John Bourne's date and place of birth/baptism are unknown, to me.
(I haven't looked for him, yet.) He was buried on 3 August 1774 in
Brede and the burial register records his name as John Bourne,
senior.
Mary Jarret's date and place of birth/baptisem are unknown, to me.
She was buried on 9 December 1772 in Brede and the burial register records
that she was Mary wife of John Bourne, senior. A Mary
Jarrat was baptised on 27 November 1692 in Hooe, the daughter of
William Jarrat and Elizabeth Maynard, but that would mean she was
47 or 48 when her youngest child was baptised

Jarret had 6 known children:

was baptised on 20 August
1721 in Brede. He married
Elizabeth Glover
in 1744. (They have their own page.)

Mary Bourne was baptised on 5 January 1723/4 in Brede. She
may have married Samuel Baker on 10 May 1741 in Brede.

Elizabeth Bourne was baptised on 24 October 1725 in Brede.

Anne Bourne was baptised on 29 November 1727 in Brede. She
was buried on 10 July 1780 in Udimore.
Ann married Charles Skinner by licence on 23 June 1749 in Battle,
Sussex. He was then of Udimore and she of Brede. As a widower
Charles married Mary Baker a widow of Brede on 11 April 1782.
Mary was buried on 8 April 1786 in Udimore.
Charles was baptised on 9 August 1723 in Brede and was the son of
William Skinner and Mary Cox. He died aged 84
years and was buried on 14 November 1806 in Udimore.
Charles and Ann had the following known children:

Charles Skinner was baptised on 5 August 1750 in Udimore. He
died in 1823 in Rye.
Charles married Jean Waters by licence on 5 November 1780 in
Udimore. He was then described as junior and he was of Udimore.
Jean was of the parish of St. Clements in Hastings.
Charles and Jean had the following children:

John Skinner was baptised on 22 June 1781 in Udimore. His
mother's name was recorded as Jenny in the baptism register.
He was buried on 23 September 1781 in Udimore.

Mary Skinner was baptised on 18 August 1782 in Udimore. Her
mother's name was recorded as Jenny in the baptism register.
She married William Cutbush on 17 December 1799 in Northiam,
Sussex.

James Skinner was baptised on 30 March 1784 in Udimore. His
mother's name was recorded as Jenny in the baptism register.

George Skinner was baptised on 12 June 1785 Udimore. His
mother's name was recorded as Jenny in the baptism register.

William Skinner was baptised on 18 November 1787 in Rye. His
mother's name was recorded as Jenny in the baptism register.
He was buried on 19 September 1788 in Udimore.

Samuel Skinner was baptised on 21 September 1794 in Rye. His
mother's name was recorded as Jenny in the baptism register.

Ann Skinner was baptised on 13 July 1752 in Udimore.

William Skinner was baptised on 21 July 1754 in Udimore. He
was buried on 30 January 1834 in Udimore.
William married Martha Evans on 7 March 1780 in Sedlescombe,
Sussex.
William and Martha had the following children:

Charles Skinner was baptised and buried on 7 May 1781 in Brede.

Ann Skinner was baptised on 14 February 1783 in Brede.

Sarah Frances Skinner was baptised on 6 October 1787 in Brede.

Martha Skinner was born on 8 June 1798 and baptised on 5 July 1798
in Brede. She married Samuel Balwin on 23 February 1819 in
Brede.

Harriott Skinner was baptised on 12 October 1803 and buried on 13
February 1804.

Edward Skinner was baptised on 25 July 1756 in Udimore. He
was buried on 13 March 1818 in Udimore. He died aged 61 years and
was buried on 13 March 1818 in Udimore. The burial register recorded
that he was a farmer.
Edward married Elizabeth Filmer on 7 April 1790 in Udimore.
Elizabeth died aged 50 years and was buried on 28 May 1815 in Udimore.
Edward and Elizabeth had the following children:

John Skinner was baptised on 4 April 1791 in Udimore. He died
aged 22 years and was buried on 17 March 1814 in Udimore.

Ann Skinner was baptised on 4 March 1793 in Udimore.

Mary Skinner was baptised on 23 September 1795 in Udimore and
buried there on 25 September 1795.

William Skinner was baptised on 24 September 1797 in Udimore.
He died aged 21 years and was buried on 9 November 1817 in Udimore.

John Skinner was baptised on 2 April 1758 in Udimore and buried
there on 23 April 1778.

Francis Skinner was baptised on 10 February 1760 in Udimore and
buried there on 18 November 1787.

Mary Skinner was baptised on 20 June 1762 in Udimore and buried
there on 16 December 1779.

Sarah Skinner was baptised on 18 November 1764 in Udimore and
buried there on 27 July 1779.

James Skinner was baptised on 9 August
1767 in Udimore. James married Sarah Brown by licence on 8
October 1794 in Udimore. They were both thn of Udimore. James
and Sarah had the following known children:

Sarah Matilda Whiteman on 24 April 1816 in
Brede, Sussex.
Sarah Matilda was baptised on 20 January 1795 in Udimore and was the
daughter of
John
Whiteman (1769-1843) and
Sarah
Mepham (c1763-1823).

James Skinner was baptised on 11 December
1796 in Udimore.
James married twice, firstly to
Mary Whiteman by
licence on 7 April 1819 in Udimore. He was a bachelor and she a
spinster and they were both of Udimore. The witnesses to their
marriage were
Charles Skinner, Ann Jenkins, Mary Ann Skinner, and
John Grant, the clerk. He then married her cousin
Susanna Bourne on 30 November 1844 in
Udimore. They were then both of Udimore, he a widower and she a
spinster of full age. Their fathers were named as James Skinner
and John Bourne. James signed his name whilst Susanna made
her mark. The witnesses to their marriage were John Ditch (signed) and Maria
Masters (marked).
Mary was baptised on 13 October 1799 in Udimore and buried there on 20
February 1842. She was the daughter of
John
Whiteman (1769-1843) and
Sarah
Mepham (c1763-1823).
Susanna was baptised on 10 March 1817 in Brightling, Sussex and was the
daughter of
John
Bourne (1770-1855) and
Mary
Godfrey Whiteman (1776-1848).

Mary Ann Skinner was baptised on 4 February 1799 in Udimore.

Richard Skinner was baptised on 23 October 1800 in Udimore and
buried there on 25 September 1804.

William Carly Skinner was baptised on 5 December 1802 in Udimore.

Francis Skinner was baptised on 2 July 1805 in Udimore.
-
Thomas Skinner was baptised on 12 April 1771 in Udimore.
Thomas was named as the father of a child by Ann File:
