John BOURNE (1680-?)

and Mary FLOID (1690-?)

John Bourn and Mary Floid were possibly my 7x Great Grandparents.  (Click here to see their place in my pedigree chart.)  The married on 2 April 1711 in Salehurst, Sussex.

John Bourne was baptised on 3 May 1680 in Burwash, Sussex.  He was the son of Thomas Bourne (1640-1724) and Mary.

Mary Floyd was baptised on 15 March 1690 in Salehurst, Sussex.  She was the daughter of Joseph or John Floyd (c1660-1717) and Elizabeth Hesleman (c1665-1723).

John Bourne and Mary Floid had 3 known children:

  1. John Bourne was baptised on 20 January 1711/2 in Salehurst.

John married Hannah Gutsall on 15 April 1735 in Salehurst.

John and Hannah had the following children:

    1. Hannah Bourne was baptised on 4 January 1735/6 in Rye, Sussex.

    2. Mercy Bourne was baptised on 27 February 1742/3 in Ewhurst, Sussex.

    3. John Bourne was baptised on 17 March 1744/5 in Ewhurst.

    4. Thomas Bourne was baptised on 21 May 1749 in Ewhurst.

  2. Henry Bourne was baptised on 9 May 1714 in Salehurst.

  3. Thomas Bourne, my 6x Great Grandfather, was baptised on 18 November 1716 in Salehurst.  He married Sarah French in 1744.  (They have their own page.)

A John Bourne was buried on 22 January 1762 in Salehurst - was this an 82 year old John or his 50 year old son, or someone else?
