Family History is my hobby.  I am not a professional genealogist.

William BOUND (c1670-?)

and Elizabeth TUFFE (c1670-?)

William Bound and Elizabeth Tuffe married on 25 June 1689 in Pagham, Sussex.  (They were not my direct ancestors.)

William Bound's date and place of birth/baptism are unknown, to me.

Elizabeth Tuffe's date and place of birth/baptism are unknown, to me.

William Bound and Elizabeth Tuffe may have had the following children:

  1. Sarah Bound may have been their daughter.  She may have married John Wheatley.  A marriage licence was issued to them on 16 April 1715 and recorded that she was a spinster of Pagham, whilst he was a bachelor and bondsman of the same place.

  2. William Bound was baptised on 13 June 1697 in Pagham and buried there on 11 October 1697.

  3. William Bound was baptised on 2 October 1698 in Pagham.

William married Mary Richards.  A marriage licence was issued to them on 28 February 1721/2.  It recorded that he was a bachelor and yeoman of Pagham, whilst she was a spinster of the same place.  Surety for the licence was provided by William himself and William Hodgeson an innkeeper of Chichester.

William and Mary had 1 known daughter:

    1. Mary Bound was baptised on 4 August 1723 in Pagham.  She may have married Richard Ewen, junior by licence on 2 April 1741 in Pagham.  Their marriage licence was issued on 1 April 1741 and recorded that she was a maiden of Pagham, whilst he was a bachelor and yeoman of the same place.  Surety for the licence was provided by Richard himself and Stephen East a glover of Maudling.

At one point I thought William and Mary may have been the parents of Ann Bound who married in 1751, but I now think she was the daughter of Richard Boundy and Elizabeth Cook.  I have left this page here just on the off chance the above may eventually link somewhere into my tree.
