James Botting and Sarah Botten married on 15 May 1740 in
Nuthurst, Sussex.
James Botting's date and place of birth/baptism are unknown, to me.
Might he have been baptised on 7 July 1707 in Shipley, Sussex the son of
John Botting? Or on 21 October 1716 in Slaugham, Sussex the son of
Nicholas Botting, or in West Grinstead, Sussex in 1716 the son of
James Botting and Sarah. James Botting, an old man
was buried on 18 November 1792 in Nuthurst. Nicholas also had a son
named Antill Botting.
Sarah Botten's date and place of birth/baptism are unknown, to me.
Might she have been baptised on 12 September 1710 in Horsham, Sussex the
daughter of Francis Botting and Mary, or on 1 May 1712
again in Horsham the daughter of Henry Botting and Ann Manfield,
or 1714 in Itchingfield the daughter of Thomas Botting and Sarah,
or 2 April 1719 in Cowfold the daughter of James Botten and
Elizabeth, or 4 February 1722 in Shipley the daughter of Richard
Botting and Jean. She may have been buried on 6 June 1800
in Nuthurst, but unfortunately the burial register gives no further details.
Were James and Sarah in anyway related to Edward Botting and Ann
Botting who married on 11 February 1745/6 in Shipley?
James Botting and Sarah Botten had 5 known children:

Nuthurst. He may have died aged 79 years and have been buried on 9
May 1820 in Nuthurst. The burial register recorded his name as
Anlett Botting.

Nuthurst. He may have been buried on 4 July 1777 in Nuthurst.

He died aged 83 years in Horsham and was buried on 22 July 1826 in
Nuthurst.

William Botting was baptised on 14 November 1745 in Nuthurst.
A William Bottinge was buried in Nuthurst on 26 February 1754, but
unfortunately no further details were recorded to help identify which
William was buried.

Barnard Botting was baptised on 31 March 1754 in Nuthurst and
buried there on 7 July 1757. The burial register recorded that he
was the son of James Botten.

David Botten was baptised on 18 November 1757 in Nuthurst.
Sarah Botting, singlewoman, was buried in Nuthurst on 20 March 1759.
Elizabeth Botting, maiden, was buried on 24 July 1776 in Nuthurst.
Ann Botting, aged 84 years was buried on 14 May 1812 in Nuthurst,
therefore, born about 1728.
Isaac Botton, aged 6 years was buried on 5 March 1820 in Nuthurst.
David Botting, aged 28 years was buried on 2 July 1820 in Nuthurst.
Mary Botting, aged 8 months was buried on 18 March 1821 in Nuthurst.
Isaac Botting, aged 57 years was buried on 6 January 1822 in
Nuthurst.
Mary Botting, aged 41 years was buried on 22 January 1822 in
Nuthurst.
William Botting, aged 6 weeks was buried on 26 March 1822 in
Nuthurst.
Anne Botting, aged 16 years was buried on 24 October 1827 in
Nuthurst.
Martha Botting, aged 74 years was buried on 26 December 1827 in
Nuthurst.
Mary Anne Botting, aged 3 years was buried on 26 August 1820 in
Nuthurst.
Benjamin Botting, aged 83 years died in Bolney and was buried on 24
April 1831 in Nuthurst, therefore, born about 1748, but no baptism appears
for him in the Nuthurst register, nor in the IGI.
Phebe Botting, aged 74 years died in Shipley and was buried on 29
August 1831 in Nuthurst.
Mary Botting, aged 31 years was buried on 30 June 1833 in Nuthurst.
Henry Botting, aged 51 years was buried on 7 July 1839 in Nuthurst.
