Edward BOTTEN (c1730-1755)

and Mary BAKER (c1730-?)

 

Edward Botten and Mary Baker married on 29 May 1752 in Itchingfield, Sussex.  At that time they were both of Cowfold, Sussex.

Edward Botten's date and place of birth/baptism are unknown, to me.  He was buried on 30 August 1755 in Cowfold.  He was not the Edward Botting born in 1719 in Shipley, nor the Edward Botting born in 1729 in West Grinstead.

Mary Baker's date and place of birth/baptism are unknown, to me.  See below for possible baptisms for Mary.

 

Edward Botten and Mary Baker had 2 known children:

  1. Mary Botten was baptised on 13 January 1754 in Cowfold.  Did she marry Philip Alfrey in 1777?

  2. Edward Bottin was baptised on 15 March 1756 in Cowfold.  It was noted in the baptism register that his father was dead and his mother a widow.  He married Elizabeth Willett in 1777.  (They have their own page.)
