Thomas BENNETT (c1715-?)

and Sarah SHIRLEY (c1720-?)

 

Thomas Bennett and Sarah Shirley may have been my 6x Great Grandparents.  (Click here to see their place in my pedigree chart.)  They married on 9 November 1741 in Horsted Keynes, Sussex.

Thomas Bennett's date and place of birth/baptism are unknown, to me.

Sarah Shirley's date and place of birth/baptism are unknown, to me.

 

Thomas Bennett and Sarah Shirley had 8 known children:

  1. Sarah Bennett was baptised on 14 November 1742 in Fletching.  She may have married William Cockaril by Banns on 10 November 1768 in Fletching.  They were both then of Fletching.

  2. John Bennett was baptised on 24 March 1744/5 in Fletching and buried there on 12 June 1745.

  3. Ann Bennett, my possible 5x Great Grandmother, was baptised on 1 February 1746/7 in Fletching.  She married Richard Pearce in 1768.  (They have their own page.)

  4. Mary Bennett was baptised on 31 December 1749 in Fletching.  She may have married Thomas Babcock on 26 December 1769 in Fletching.  She was then of Fletching and he of Horsted Keynes.

  5. Thomas Bennett was baptised on 26 November 1752 in Fletching.  He may have married Sarah Awcock by Banns on 5 October 1775 in Horsted Keynes.  He was then of Fletching and she of Horsted Keynes.  The witnesses were John Awcock and Nathan Holford.

  6. Martha Bennett was baptised on 5 October 1755 in Fletching.  She may have married Thomas Langridge by Banns on 3 June 1771 in Fletching.  They were both then of Fletching.

  7. Betty Bennett was baptised on 10 October 1758 in Fletching.  She may have married Henry Batchellor by Banns on 7 October 1778 in Horsted Keynes.  They were both then of Horsted Keynes.

  8. John Bennett was baptised on 29 May 1768 in Fletching.  He married Ann Welfare by Banns on 6 November 1788 in Fletching.  They were both then of Fletching.
