John Batcup and Mary Clark married by banns on 17
October 1781 in Cowfold, Sussex. They were both then of Cowfold.

a farmer of West Grinstead.
Mary Clark may have been born about 1761. She died
aged 69 years and was buried on 19 December 1830 in Bolney.
On 23 July 1786 a settlement certificate was granted to John Baytup
