John BATCHELOR (c1735-?)

and Elizabeth STREETER (1739-?)

 

John Batchelor and Elizabeth Streeter may have been my 6x Great Grandparents.  (Click here to see their possible place in my pedigree chart.)  They married on 23 October 1758 in Angmering, Sussex.  His name was then recorded as John Bachelour.

John Batchelor's date and place of birth/baptism are unknown, to me.

Elisabeth Streater was baptised on 8 November 1739 in Angmering.  She was the daughter of William Streeter (1699-1742) and Elizabeth Budd (1711-?).

 

John Batchelor and Elizabeth Streeter had 6 known children:

  1. Emery Batchelour was baptised on 29 April 1763 in Angmering.

    Emery married Sarah Wakeham on 3 January 1785 in Amberley, Sussex.  He was then of Brighton and she of Amberley.

    Emery and Sarah had the following known son:

    1. John Bachelor was baptised on 30 January 1786 in Amberley and buried there on 23 March 1786.

  2. Charles Batchelour was baptised on 24 July 1765 in Angmering.  He married Abigail Weller in 1786.  (They have their own page.)

  3. Ann Batchelor, my possible 5x Great Grandmother, was baptised on 26 December 1767 in Angmering.  She may have married William Beck in Brighton in 1786.  (They have their own page.)

  4. Gainor Batchler was baptised on 2 August 1771 in Angmering.

    As Gancy Bachelor she married Robert Cook on 15 September 1796 at St. Nicholas in Brighton.

  5. Absalom Batchelor was baptised on 11 December 1773 in Angmering.

    Absalom may have married Mary Copper on 10 November 1795 in Rottingdean, Sussex.

  6. Anna Maria Batchelor was baptised on 29 May 1775 in Angmering.
