Jacob Batchelor and Sarah Simmons married by banns on 3 March 1829 in Ifield, Sussex.  He was then a bachelor of Petworth and she a spinster of Ifield.  The witnesses to their marriage were Philip Capon and Jane Edwards.  (They were not my direct ancestors.)
