John BARTHOLOMEW (c1687-?)
and Dorothy OSBOURNE (1689-?)
John Bartholomew
and Dorothy
Osbourne were, I believe, my 8x Great Grandparents. (Click
here to
see their possible place in my pedigree chart.) They
married by licence on 7 September 1712 in Pycombe, Sussex. John was
then described as a taylor and they were both of Hurstpierpoint. Their
marriage licence was issued by the Archdeaconry of Lewes on 4 September 1712
and recorded that he was a bachelor and she a spinster.
John Bartholomew's
date and place of birth/baptism are unknown, to me.
Dorothy
Osbourne may have been baptised on 14 April 1689 in Alfriston, Sussex,
the daughter of
Thomas Osborne
(1655-?) and Joan.
John Bartholomew and
Dorothy Osbourne had 1 known child:

Elizabeth
Bartholomew
was baptised on 8 July 1713
in Hurstpierpoint, Sussex. She married
John Steel
in 1732. (They have their own page.) They may have been my 7x
Great Grandparents.
