William BARHAM (c1497-bef 1578)

William Barham and unknown were my 12x Great Grandparents.

William Barham may have been born in about 1497 at Bivelham in Wadhurst, Sussex.  He was the son of William Barham (c1472-bef 1522).  He died before 26 September 1578.

 

William Barham and unknown had 1 known child:

  1. John Barham (c1525-c1585) - my 11x Great Grandfather, married Mary Courthope.  (They have their own page.)

 

 

NOTES

The following has been taken from SAC vol.56, page 126:

20 June 1522 - William Berham was admitted to the lands of Upper and Nether Combden and Newland Wood, containing 150 acres.  These lands had been confirmed to John Berham son of Richard and Anne in 1480 and on 28 April 1579 passed to John Berham son and heir of William Berham.  These lands formed part of the Snape estate.
