John ALFREY (1691-?)

and Ann WOOD (?-1723)

and Elizabeth DAVIS (?-?)

John Alfrey and Elizabeth Davis were my 8x Great Grandparents.  (Click here to see their place in my pedigree chart.)  They married  by licence on 18 June 1727 in Wiggonholt cum Greetham, Sussex.  Elizabeth was a spinster.  John was of Steyning and this was his second marriage.  He first married Ann Woode by licence dated 4 March 1719/20.  They were then both of Steyning.

John Alfrey was baptised on 16 May 1691 in Slaugham, Sussex.  He was the son of 5 179 John Alfrey (1669-?) and 5 179 Dorcas Peter (?-1706).  He was a blacksmith.  Either he or his father was buried on 8 December 1751 in Pyecombe.  There was also a John Alfree buried on 31 March 1749 in Upper Beeding, Sussex.

Ann Woodís date and place of birth/baptism are unknown, to me.  She was buried on 14 October 1723 in Steyning.
